Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Military Trainer - Electronic Warfare SME to join our growing team of diverse professionals in Suffolk, Virginia. The selected candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Electronic Warfare and Electromagnetic Spectrum (EW/EMS) Operations, and will support organization objectives independently or as a part of a team to identify training requirements, author inputs to exercise control documents and operation orders, participate in Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) activities, and serve as member of the white cell. Responsibilities:
* Leverages knowledge of capabilities, limitations, and associated electronic warfare (EW) / electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) operations
* Serves as expert in the areas of EW/EMS watch floor procedures and operations
* Knowledgeable of both friendly and adversary emitters, sensors, and parametric data
* Knowledgeable of Targeting Board processes and procedures for lethal and non-lethal operations
* Plans and designs EW/EMS scenarios and Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects for exercises and for providing input to Targeting Board and Working Group
* Prepares and conducts seminars/work groups; conducts training in large and small groups; conducts post exercise analysis
* Replicates roles of EW/EMS specific positions at the Strategic, Operational, and Tactical levels during exercisesBasic Qualifications:
* One of the following:
* High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years of professional and/or military leadership experience
* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional and/or military leadership experience
* Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year of professional and/or military leadership experience
* Service and joint doctrine experience to include combat, combat support, and combat service support operations
* Must be knowledgeable of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) operations and the role they play in Joint Operations
* Be familiar with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle
* Ability to travel to both CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of the task order (travel requirements 25%)
* Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
* Current U.S. Passport or ability to obtain a Passport
* Must be able to work on-site in Suffolk, VirginiaPreferred Qualifications:
* Graduate of the Joint Forces Staff College or Service/agency equivalent
* Combatant Command or JS J7 Staff experience
* Knowledge of scenarios/MSELs for joint training events
* Familiar with Information Management and Knowledge Management principles
* Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills
* Experience working with and around senior military and government personnel
* Active TS/SCI clearance
* Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products Salary Range: $56,300 USD - $84,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
