Park Aide, Seasonal ($11.17-$12.81)


The reporting location for this position is the Sector office of the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area located in Folsom CA.  This position works under the supervision of the Folsom Lake SRA Sector Superintendent.  The Seasonal Park Aide is responsible for providing routine public contact work which includes but is not limited to:  answering questions from the public, explaining rules and regulations, reservation processing, answering telephones, and annual pass sales.  The Seasonal Park Aide will also provide information to the visiting public about available recreational facilities, activities, and programs.  All public contacts will be courteous, impartial, and articulate.  This position is intermittent and may work up to 1500 hours per calendar year.  On a qualifying, (per pay period), basis, the incumbent will earn sick leave and vacation as part of their employment benefits.  No State housing available.






Maintenance Aide, Seasonal ($11.25-$13.15)


The reporting location for this position is the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area located in Folsom CA.  This position works under the supervision of the State Park Maintenance Chief and under the lead of the Park Maintenance Workers.  The Seasonal Maintenance Aide is responsible for assisting with the maintenance workload throughout the park units with an emphasis on the cleaning of facilities such as office buildings, maintenance shops, and restrooms.  The incumbent will ensure that the trails, campgrounds, and surrounding areas are free from litter and other debris.  This position is intermittent and may work up to 1500 hours per calendar year.  The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work outdoors and receive training in the field of facility maintenance.  Ability to work in team environment, which includes park staff and a diversity of recreational user groups is also highly desirable.  On a qualifying, (per pay period), basis, the incumbent will earn sick leave and vacation as part of their employment benefits.  No State housing available.
