Facility Security Officer
Location: LEXINGTON PARK, MD
Sabre Systems, Inc. is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to provide expertise, guidance and advice concerning all security administrative functions in support of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Functions to include facility security compliance, security questions, visit requests, fingerprinting, and security clearance submissions. This a full-time position located in our Lexington Park, MD office.
The candidate will create and maintain employee personnel security files, process employee visit requests and badge requests for all current and new employees; submit employees for clearances and periodic reinvestigations through JPAS as required; work with employees to complete periodic reinvestigations and submit to DSS once completed; fingerprint employees as needed, transfer new hire clearances and compile security briefing packets and assist employees with SAAR-N forms. In addition, the candidate will coordinate and conduct all annual security education/training in relation to the NISPOM, customer requirements and company policy; conduct classified meetings to ensure all security procedures are being met; maintain inventory and classified information stored in classified safe; and prepare, send and receive classified packages. Finally, the FSO will Track and monitor all classified contracts and DD-254s; Investigate, prepare, and submit Security Violations and Incident Reports as required by the NISPOM; prepare and participate in yearly DSS vulnerability assessments; and perform bi-annual self-inspections as required by Defense Security Service (DDS). Some short-term travel may be required intermittently. Office Administrative support team member.
Candidate must have a current Top Secret clearance. Candidates will be required to pass a background check for this position.
- Completed DSS FSO course, HS diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience to include, working knowledge of a full range of security disciplines, i.e., personnel, physical, information systems, etc., and the various security concepts, policies, processes, and procedures that govern and impact those security functions
- Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and experience with Defense Security Service (DSS).
- Effectively use JPAS, eFCL, ISFD, SWFT, ACCS, and e-QIP
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Team player
